Here’s a list of few players who will not be playing in ICC World Cup owing to injuries:
- Shikhar Dhawan – India’s star batsman, who played an excellent inning of 117 runs in India’s second ICC match against Australia might not be playing the remaining matches of the tournament due to his thumb injury.
- Jason Roy– England’s opener, who suffered a torn left hamstring injury while fielding against West Indies on June 14, 2019, will not be playing the next two matches due to this mishap.
- Marcus Stoinis – An Australian all-rounder suffered a side strain while playing against India on June 09, 2019. Currently, he might be left out for a few matches due to his injury and has been replaced by Mitchell Marsh.
- Dale Steyn – This South African pacer has been ruled out for playing in ICC World Cup, due to a severe shoulder injury. He will be replaced by Beuran Hendricks, South African fast bowler.
- Nuwan Pradeep --The Sri Lankan pacer might have to take a week's rest before joining the Sri Lankan team again due to a cut and dislocation in his bowling arm.
If these players, who work hard to keep themselves fit, get injured and have to sit out of one of the most important tournaments of cricket, then it’s easy to imagine how the rest of us might be prone to injuries too!
The excitement of this game has no bounds. The celebration of a superb shot, a crucial wicket and every win is memorable. But, there is a chance that you might end up breaking your leg while jumping with joy over a six or slip and fall only to injure yourself while dancing to the winning tune of the match. Thus, we recommend that you buy an adequate medical insurance policy to enjoy this season of cricket with complete protection and by mitigating as many risks as possible.
Wishing you all a high-spirited and safe ICC World Cup!
