If you wish to take an international vacation in the near future and are financially prepared for it, all there is left for you to do is book tickets and accommodation, buy travel insurance online or offline, and get a visa. The last step, i.e., getting a visa, can be a tad bit time-consuming as it may involve some paperwork as well as your presence at appointments.
But what if you could travel without visas? Would you take the option to travel to lush, exotic islands if you could do so without applying for a visa before you fly? All you may need is a plan, your tickets, and travel insurance to ensure that your trip ends up as pleasant as possible.
Islands to Travel to Without a Visa
The islands you can travel to as an Indian without having to apply for a visa beforehand can be divided into three categories:
- Entry permitted without visa (for a limited duration)
- Tourist visa granted on arrival
- E-visa (or online visa)
While the e-visa requirement technically means that you have to get a visa, the process is relatively shorter compared to getting a visa. You can apply for an e-visa online and get it printed in a few steps as well.
Here is a list of islands Indians can travel to without a visa.
-
Dominica
Formally known as the Commonwealth of Dominica, this is the destination for you if you want to enjoy green, mountainous landscapes covered with rainforests and hot springs. Samoa
If relaxing on a beach for hours and enjoying unique local cuisine sounds like the kind of vacation you desire, you might want to consider Samoa for your next trip. You can stay here without a visa for up to 60 days.
When visiting these islands, while you may not need a visa, there may be a few other requirements in place. For example, you may be required to ensure that your passport is valid for at least six more months. Furthermore, you may also need to have proof of sufficient funds and a return ticket that you can show on arrival.
Travelling to these islands can be quite an enthralling experience. While you may expect everything to be smooth sailing, it is best to stay prepared for any hiccups during your trip. One way to do this is to get international travel insurance. It may shield you against several possibilities such as
loss of passport, theft, medical emergencies and more.
Furthermore, international travel insurance may be a requirement in some countries. Hence, it is advisable to look for the right
travel insurance plans for your trip and buy them to have an additional layer of financial safety during your trip.
