Passports are important for young and senior citizens alike. Many senior citizens take advantage of their retirement to travel. If senior citizens are travelling internationally, whether to visit family and friends, for vacation, or relocate after retirement, a passport is an essential document to have. Officials require a passport to allow citizens to enter and exit the country.
A passport can serve as legal proof of identity and citizenship to ensure senior citizens continue to avail of retirement benefits or pensions when living abroad and receive retirement benefits or pensions. It is better to have a passport even if you do not have immediate travel plans, as they can be used in emergencies anytime.
