Star Package is an insurance policy that ensures overall protection with its myriad features:
Health guard
This policy protects you and your family in case of a serious accident or any major illness by providing a cashless benefit and medical reimbursement for hospital expenses.
Critical illness cover
In case you are diagnosed with a critical illness, a lump sum amount will be paid to you. Donor expenses in a transplant surgery that are not covered under a regular health insurance policy can be paid from the amount received under this cover.
Children education benefit
In case of your death or permanent total disability, we will continue paying the sum insured towards your children’s education as per your policy.
Personal accident cover
This policy provides coverage against death, permanent total disability (PTD), permanent partial disability (PPD) and temporary total disability (TTD).
Renewability
You can renew your Star Package policy for your entire lifetime.
Hospital cash
Hospital cash benefit guards you and your family from increased expenses that you may face due to hospitalisation. We provide cash benefits for each day of hospitalisation to ease the burden of such expenses.
Household content cover
You will be covered for losses incurred due to an actual or attempted burglary or a case of house break-in.
Public liability cover
This cover protects you against legal liability for bodily injury or damage to a third-party property.
Baggage cover
Covers your personal baggage against accidental loss, and destruction and damage while travelling anywhere in India.
Covers pre and post hospitalisation expenses
This policy covers medical expenses 60 days immediately before and 90 days immediately after hospitalisation.
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has introduced an app based claim submission process known as Health Claim by Direct Click.
This facility allows you to register and submit claim documents through the app itself for claims up to Rs 20,000.
What you need to do:
Cashless facility at network hospitals is available 24x7, throughout the year without any interruption in service. Hospitals that provide cashless settlement are liable to change their policy without notice. Therefore, you must check the hospital list before getting admitted. The updated list is available on our website and with our call centre. Bajaj Allianz Health Card along with a government ID proof is mandatory at the time of availing cashless facility.
When you are opting for cashless claims, the process is as follows:
Important points to note
Relevant medical expenses incurred before admission and after discharge from the hospital will be reimbursed as per the policy. Prescriptions and bills/receipts of such services should be submitted to Bajaj Allianz General Insurance along with the duly signed claim form.

The entry age for the proposer and their spouse is 18 years to 65 years. The entry age for children is 3 months to 25 years.
You can opt for this for policy for 1, 2 or 3 years and it can also be renewed for a lifetime.

*On opting for Star Package policy for yourself, your spouse, children and parents, you can avail Rs 25,000 per annum as a deduction against your taxes (provided you are not over 60 years). If you pay a premium for your parents who are senior citizens (age 60 or above), the maximum health insurance benefit for tax purposes is capped at Rs 50,000. As a taxpayer, you may, therefore, maximise tax benefit under Section 80D up to a total of Rs 75,000, if you are below 60 years of age and your parents are senior citizens. If you are above the age of 60 years and are paying a medical insurance premium for your parents, the maximum tax benefit under Section 80D is, then, Rs 1 lakh.
